A Breeder is a person who first knows what he is trying to produce as an objective, and second, is capable of producing that objective by employing a well-planned, long-range, intelligent breeding program. If he can produce consistently, year after year, and generation after generation, the type of dog he has established as his standard, then he is by my definition a breeder.
There is no place for "Back yard breeders" there are enough good breeders with great dogs out there. Please let breeders do the breeding! A quality Breeding program will breed dogs 'true to type' by producing Looks, Temperament, Bird drive, and Genetic soundness in thier dogs. True to type breeding programs will consintly produce pups the same as there parents, and not all pups in a litter will be clones, they will be very close to there parents and littermates, in Looks, Size, Temperament , Bird drive, and over all Genetic Soundness!
